The history of knives of this type began to be written in the land of eternal ice. Native Yakuts have used them for centuries not only for woodworking, but also for slicing frozen meat into thin slices.
The blade is machined on one side using a bombing technique, which creates a typical depression in its centre. From the other side it is then polished into a lenticular shape, thanks to which it goes beautifully into the cut.
The knife is made of high quality 14 260 spring steel. Please keep in mind that after each use, you need to dry it and put a film of oil or greese on the surface (for this purpose, conventional cooking oil or lard will suffice) to prevent possible degradation of the material.
It is also possible to order for your knife a beautiful hand-stitched sheath made of authentic high quality cowhide leather. The sheath has an eyelet for attaching to the belt; available in light brown, black or dark brown color.
