The history of machetes began on the African continent, where natives used them to cut paths through the rainforest.
The machete from our forge is not only excellently crafted in terms of its hardening and precision cutting, but also has a very elegant shape, resembling the crest of a wave. Thanks to the smooth extension of the blade away from the handle, its centre of gravity is shifted to the front, which helps to achieve greater striking power. With a bit of exaggeration, it can be said that it almost cuts by itself.
The end of the handle is fitted with a hole designed to insert a cord, thus creating a practical safety loop that can be attached to the wrist. This significantly reduces the risk of possible injury due to the tool slipping out of the hand.
The machete is made of high quality 14 260 spring steel. Please keep in mind that after each use, you need to dry it and put a film of oil or greese on the surface (for this purpose, conventional cooking oil or lard will suffice) to prevent possible degradation of the material. The handle id made from Zebrano wood.
