Chopper cleaver

The Chopper cleaver is one of the pillars of a unique set of five kitchen knives designed especially for the Hefaistos blacksmith shop by our artistic designer and artisan blacksmith Lubomír Dobrovolný.

Apart from the excellent workmanship, they are also exceptional thanks to the beautiful graphics on their blades, which were achieved by laser engraving. The production of these knives thus combines not only traditional blacksmithing techniques but also the use of modern technology.

The material used is AK5 stainless steel produced in the Czech Republic at the POLDI steelworks in Kladno, which, when properly hardened, has ideal properties for the production of knives of the highest quality. The material is characterised by its high content of chromium, manganese, carbon and silicon. The knives are professionally hardened and tempered to a hardness of 56HRC.

As far as the handle is concerned, ebony wood has been used for its production, which makes it even more exceptional and exclusive.
