Celtic culture has left an indelible imprint on the history of Europe. We know from archaeological findings that these people were able to create objects from metals and, in addition to making weapons and utilitarian objects, they were also largely involved in the creation of jewellery and amulets.
One of the techniques they used for this purpose was casting in cuttlebone, which they used as moulds. They made a negative of the product in the soft material. They then cast the mould with molten bronze and after cleaning the product they could enjoy the unique jewels. And you can try this technique with our colleague Dalibor, who is very passionate about the Celtic period and besides assisting you in the creation of jewellery, he will also be happy to answer all your questions.
We have soapstone moulds for rings and a large set of cuttlebone for you to process your wish. Under the guidance of our artistic blacksmith and experimental archaeologist Dalibor, you will create a sepia bone mould according to your own ideas and then cast the product in bronze. The casting is then polished and decorated with engraving. It will depend on your imagination and skill.
